Artego is announcing an open call for our Group Exhibition, Summer Show (August 21st - 31st). This is an opportunity for artists based in NYC, from any background or stage of their artistic career, to showcase their works at the gallery located in Queens.Up to 10 to 15 artists will be invited to show two or more of their non-digital 2D or 3D artworks. The deadline for submissions is July 31st at 11:59 PM. Submitted artworks will be selected based on the quality of the finished work and its readiness to be displayed in a gallery setting.
Submission information is as follows:
Eligiblity
- Non-digital 2D (paintings, photography, or anything that can be hung on the wall) or 3D (any medium of sculpture that can stand-alone from the ground) based works only.
- NYC-resident or studio artists.

Minimum age of 21 years old.

Artists at any stage of their profession (including students) are all eligible.

2D artwork should not be bigger than 60 x 60 inches (5 ft) / 3D artwork should be
roughly within 25 x 25 x 30 cubic inches (2 x 2 x 2.5 ft).

2D Artwork: Submit 1 image each for up to 3 different pieces. (Picture should
show the entirety of the piece & with the little background visible)

3D Artwork: Submit 2 images (different angles) each for up to 3 different
pieces.

Submission deadline: July 31st at 11:59 PM.

We will contact you by August 5th if your work has been selected.

Selected artists will have two options to choose from for joining the exhibition
-
The artist will pay a $100 fee for joining the exhibition and the gallery will take a 30% commission from the sales.

The artist pays nothing for joining the exhibition and the gallery will take a 40% commission from the sales.

The exhibition will take place at Artego's main gallery space located at 32-88 48th St. Queens, NY 11103
-
Artists are responsible for bringing their artworks and their own screws or nails to the gallery space on the day of installation.

The duration of the exhibition is from the 21st of August till the 31st of August (Takedown on September 01)

Further information about the artwork installation and opening date will be announced in early August
